Your responsibilities
- Install, configure, and commission Verdi's irrigation automation hardware and sensors at customer sites across the Okanagan region
- Provide on-site technical support, troubleshooting, and debugging of deployed devices
- Reprogram and update firmware/software on field devices as directed by the engineering team
- Act as Verdi's eyes and hands in the Okanagan — conducting site assessments, gathering field data, and reporting conditions back to the team
- Build and maintain strong relationships with growers and farm operators
- Document installations, service calls, and any issues encountered in the field
- Coordinate with remote engineering and product teams to resolve technical problems
Your qualifications
- Must speak fluent English
- Hands-on experience with electronics, electrical wiring, or mechatronics (agriculture tech experience is a plus)
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid driver's license
- Familiarity with irrigation systems or agriculture operations
- Experience with IoT devices, sensors, or embedded systems
- Basic networking knowledge (Wi-Fi, cellular, Ethernet)
Schedule
- Seasonal contract: approximately 4–6 months (starting ASAP)
- Full-time hours, Monday–Friday
- Occasional weekend or evening work during peak season
